Haber descubierto el museo Guggenheim en Bilbao, de Frank Gehry, fue como una revelación: escapaba totalmente a las ideas preconcebidas que yo tenia de la arquitectura ("los edificios deben ser ortogonales, grises, pétreos..aburridos!). Realmente me sentía seducido por la idea de diseñar "edificios que no parecen edificios". De repente comencé a pensar: "bueno, quizás la arquitectura también es divertida!". Junto con Archigram, la obra de Gehry fué motivadora a la hora de lanzarme al estudio de mi carrera. Qué obras/arquitectos fueron inspiradoras para ustedes?

Diego, muy bien logrado el dibujo, con solo un parpadeo uno se dá cuenta que se trata del Guggenheim de Bilbao, un edificio que fue muy visto y discutido recuerdo en el inicio de mi carrera, ya que recien se había inaugurado.
ResponderBorrarA mi muchos arquitectos contemporáneos me gustan, pero mis principales objetos de admiración son maestros que ya no estan vivos: como la sencibilidad de Alvar Aalto y FL Wright, la elegancia y la pureza de Mies, y el manejo de la luz en la etapa brutalista de Le Corbusier, junto con las obras de Luis Khan.
